So this is Scene 16 of Nickelodeon. Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere that would ship international and also had scene 15. :(

However, I think this is one of my favorite Nick scenes ever. Dowman takes a cliche situation and again spins it in a totally unexpected way. Bravo Dowman, bravo.

 Oh yeah!!! Scene 14 of Dowman Sayman's Nickelodeon. And it's in color! To tell you the truth, I really thought we wouldn't be able to see more Nickelodeon until another year and half or so. Huge thanks to the donators that made this happen!

I have to say, I really like this one. Dowman once again stacks the layers of a story ever-so-nicely and then peels them back in just the right ways. I like the shorts that appear in "Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War" too, but I really think that Nickelodeon, as a whole, has already surpassed it.

Man, all in all, this was a good day. First, I was able to translate this, second, there's another crazy indie/rock/pop/whatever song that I'm listening to over and over while I translate, and third, I helped a complete stranger out today! (Which fills my quota for helping for at least the next 30 days...!)

Feeling good, feeling good.

So...We have 2 more Nickelodeon scenes. Do you guys want them as quickly as possible, or should we pace it?

Nickelodeon [Red], this time about a masked crime-fighter.

On an unrelated subject, I was kinda surprised how closely split the poll about manga translation technique was (well, only 78 votes, but still.) I didn't vote, but in my opinion getting closer to the feel of what the author originally wrote is more important than literal translations of what actual words appear. I guess you could say the more literal the translation, the closer to the author's intention it would be, but I'd argue the author never wanted their characters to speak in peculiar and awkward sentences, either. Oh well, that's just the trade off translation comes with, right? Maybe I should try sticking as literal as I can next time just for fun though. ;)

So, I think there's only like, what, 3 shorts left from Nickelodeon now? Then all there is is monthly(?) Oddman 11 and maybe Ayame and Amane...

More Nickelodeon [Red]. This one is about Sugawara, the researcher in High Heels and Sneakers. This one really doesn't stand out to me in any way. Not that I don't like it, but it just seems like territory that's already been tread for Dowman. But at least we find out what kind of coffee he gave Haruko during that experiment's break.

I think we're half way through this book now.

More Nickelodeon [Red]. It's not quite as cruel as the teaser on the left might look. I rather like the balance of cute/macabre this one has.

So, releases will probably slow down from now on, since I have some things that I need to focus on (translation related and otherwise,) but while releases won't be daily anymore, I'll most likely continue to do chapters from Nickelodeon [Red], at least one more from The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War, and 4dawgz and I are only about half-way through the Hroz stuff we have lined up. Then of course, if I see some random h-manga that I like, I might make a go at that, too.
